A Beginner's Guide to the DeadLock Analysis Model

چکیده
This paper is an introduction to the framework for the deadlock analysis of object-oriented languages we have defined in [6, 5]. We present a basic Java-like language and the deadlock analysis model in an accessible way. We also overview the algorithm for deciding deadlockfreeness by discussing a number of paradigmatic examples. We finally explore the techniques for coping with extensions of the object-oriented language.

Methods to construct a step-by-step beginner’s guide to decision analytic cost-effectiveness modeling
BACKGROUND Although guidance on good research practice in health economic modeling is widely available, there is still a need for a simpler instructive resource which could guide a beginner modeler alongside modeling for the first time. AIM To develop a beginner's guide to be used as a handheld guide contemporaneous to the model development process. METHODS A systematic review of best pract...
متن کاملA Hybrid Meta-heuristic Approach to Cope with State Space Explosion in Model Checking Technique for Deadlock Freeness
Model checking is an automatic technique for software verification through which all reachable states are generated from an initial state to finding errors and desirable patterns. In the model checking approach, the behavior and structure of system should be modeled. Graph transformation system is a graphical formal modeling language to specify and model the system. However, modeling of large s...
متن کاملCombining Static Analysis and Testing for Deadlock Detection
Static deadlock analyzers might be able to verify the absence of deadlock, but when they detect a potential deadlock cycle, they provide little (or even none) information on their output. Due to the complex flow of concurrent programs, the user might not be able to find the source of the anomalous behaviour from the abstract information computed by static analysis. This paper proposes the combi...
